Mastermind offers the ability to have students check themselves into class, if you chose to do so.
To offer self check in, use the URL https://app.tkdmastermind.com/attendance/selfcheckin on a tablet or mobile device. The threshold for check in time can be adjusted in your school settings.
Students can begin typing either their first or last name into the search bar. They should they select their name.
A screen will appear with the student’s name and photo to confirm that the correct student was selected. If the student accepts (green thumbs up), it will prompt the student to select the class that they are attending. The only classes that will appear as options will be classes that began within the last 15 minutes, or classes that will be starting in the next 15 minutes. If the student does not confirm (red thumbs down), they will return to the previous screen where they can start entering their name information.
For iPads:
We would recommend turning on Guided Access, to limit students capabilities to browse the internet or the Mastermind software. Guided access can be turned on in your iPad settings (General - Guided Access).
Next, plan on locking out the search bar when Mastermind check in screen is open by doing the following:
1.) Triple Click when check in screen is open, as though you are going to close your guided access.
2.) Enter your password.
3.) Select “Circle areas on the screen that you would like to disable” at the bottom of your screen.
4.) Draw a box on your screen with your finger.
5.) Place the box over the search bar. 6.) Resume Guided Access
